Life Groups

What are Life Groups?

Life Groups are the church's primary small group avenue for discipleship. It is within these small communities that Christians can build personal relationships and make disciples by connecting the transforming power of Jesus Christ with every day life.  From the Gospels and the book of Acts, Jesus' and the early church were often making disciples in a small group of people intentionally experiencing life together. Our Life Groups are created for this purpose. While you certainly will build relationships with other believers, it will always be centered on the Word of God as we grow as disciples of Christ with one another.  All groups consist of approximately 6-12 people and are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who receive continued oversight and support from our pastoral staff. These groups provide sanctuary from the pressures and anxieties of life.  As God made us for community, we need fellow believers to help us apply the gospel to our lives. Our hope is that everyone who attends our church will be involved in a Life Group.

When and Where do they take place?

Life Groups typically meet on the first and third Sunday evenings of the month, and usually meet in private homes.

If you are interested in joining a Life Group, please contact the church office or the Welcome Center at church for a listing of groups in your area.

The Seniors Ministry small group of the Atlanta Road Alliance Church provides Christ-centered activities which focus on the spiritual, educational, and social needs of those who are retired.  Monthly fellowship lunches (often deemed "the best lunch in town") give this group a great opportunity to come together and listen to a guest speaker, see a travelogue, hear testimonies, or enjoy a special musician. Special outings are held periodically throughout each year.

Alliance Seniors meet for lunch on the first Monday of every month from September to May.  Lunch starts at Noon and they meet in the church Fireside Room.

Sunday School Classes & Seminars

The Sunday Classes are a supportive avenue for disciple-making to occur at Atlanta Road Alliance Church. They provide a classroom setting learning God's Word and its implications for life together. They include a wide array of topics, such as: Bible overview, theology, apologetics, marriage, parenting, evangelism, and others.  There are classes on individual books of the Bible too.

All are welcome!  Classes and seminars are primarily intended for adults, but high-schoolers are welcome to join in classes appropriate for them.

Classes are offered most of the year from 9:30 - 10:30  a.m. Sunday morning.  They take a summer break during July & August.  Seminars will be scheduled on a regular basis.
